Spellforce Universe review

these games are definitely a sound purchase, as far as replay value i wouldnt look too far but getting through them will definitely take some time. i would call them might and magic for the budget gamer, they arent as well polished as might and magic but they do have their own style. the games are varied enough to keep them interesting but i felt the sound was lacking, again for a budget title they are really well made, just not quite major league. if you like the rpg/rts genre then you should probably already own them.

Spellforce Universe is the one you want if you want spellforce. Every one of the currently out spellforce games (that I know of) is in this pack. All of the games are RTS-RPG, some calls it Warcraft like others like Warlords, I call it fun. The music and story are good but not very memorable, but does fit the mood. All and all, a great value for such great games. Must get for RTS-RPG lovers.

Spellforce Universe Is five games. Two numbered entries, and three expansion packs. Each of which is of themselves two games. Part RTS and part RPG, with equal servings of each. The five story lines will take in the realm of 20 hours to beat each, translating to roughly 100 hours for the whole collection.

Definitely give these games a chance. There are some flaws, but it's hard to dispute the value of Spellforce Universe.

The ultimate Spellforce package, and a great deal for your money. Start with Spellforce Platinum to get a good feel for the game mechanics and to enjoy the story. Finish with Spellforce 2 Gold to enjoy improved graphics, and fixes to many of the minor glitches that existed in the first game.

As a RPG, Spellforce series are one of a kind. Featuring both deep RPG elements and satisfying real time strategy combat, Spellforce gives you something you might have never experienced in other RPG or RTS, and they are nicely executed. RPG fans or RTS fans, you both have reason to try it, and if you are fan of both genre, it is a must buy for you.

This package features all SpellForce games released so far, SpellForce Platinum (which features The Order of Dawn, The Breath of Winter, and Shadow of the Phoenix), and SpellForce 2 Gold (which features Shadow Wars, and Dragon Storm). In the first three games, you play as an old relic, a Rune warrior, to be more precise, and in the second two games, you play as a Shaikan, a dragonblood born race.

The package is really worth the money, it pretty much represents Phenomic's whole development process and its improvement over the years. Basically, every game is better than the previous one. Comparing them, you can really see how the developers were getting better and better at developing games.

Overall, the package could give you many, many hundreds of hours of playtime, so if you're after some mix between RTS and RPG, with nice character development, many quests to complete, many regions to explore, and see how the world of Eo holds itself against all evil, get this package!

Spellforce Universe is a great collection of games and their expansions for the price. Spellforce was one of the first titles ever to mix RPG and RTS into a single game. The only things lacking at the time of my writting this are as follows:

No support from either Nordic Games and JoWooD Productions.

Spellforce Platinum asks for the serial number every time you play the game.

Spellforce 2 Gold will not allow you to create/log-in for internet multiplayer; reports error message: "Failed (Code: 1)"

If you can get around these flaws, then buy it.

Spellforce Universe one of my best purchases this year!

I like RTS games, and absolutely love RPGs. This nice bundle comes with both Spellforce and Spellforce 2, which combine both RTS and RPGs beyond what I could have originally imagined! I highly recommend these titles to anyone who likes both genre of games!

The bundle is a bargain. Think heroes of might and magic but with a better story line. It does an excellent job blending RTS with RPG. While the graphics are a bit dated it is a must buy.

A great game for anybody loving RPG and RTS.

Especially the combination of these two genres are making it very clearly one of the most fun games I ever played!

If you have missed the Spellforce games, now is your chance to get the mall in one nice bundle!

Spellforce series were among the first to successfully blend RPG adventure and the RTS genres and as such is quite a unique game experience.

High recommendation to give it a try.

The Spellforce games blend elements of the RTS and RPG elements together very well. Those elements on their own may not be as fun as what's found in the best games from the genres, but because the two genres are so well blended together, it doesn't matter.

With two full games and four expansions split amongst the two, you're getting a lot of gameplay here. The campaign for each game and each expansion is pretty lengthy (the full games certainly so) and outside of the campaigns that each feature a story, there's also free-play mode where you play across a series of maps building up your hero.

The world itself in each game is persistant as well, so you can travel back and forth amongst the maps completing quests etc.

Overall, for £14, the pack offers a lot of gameplay. And the gameplay isn't poor either as long as you like RTS and RPGs. If you don't, then the pack won't be of interest most likely.
