Good value

By spamb0t posted 28th April

This is a good value collection with the first three titles in one of the most known fantasy franchises in gaming history. While some may feel out-dated, they sure have a lot of good and solid RPG stories to tell.

Gothic is really one of the best rpgs ever, awesome story, lots of weapons, lots of classes, good AI, the only thing is the PG Estetic Personalization

It has all the notable Gothic games. The gameplay is good, even if clunky at times, and the fact that it is an RPG always is always a benefit. Well worth the purchase, especially if it is on one of the frequent sales.

Gothic 1, 2, 3, and it's expansions are all amazing games. The best Gothic games were the first and through the power of modding you can now enjoy them in even more polish with the community patches and better graphics. With huge worlds and countless hours, I'm sure you will love this pack if you are an avid RPG fan and want to go back to one of the classics of it's time. For the low price you can get this pack, it is a good investment considering just how many hours of gameplay and enjoyment you can get out of these gems.

Wow £9.98 for the complete Gothic Series (Arcania doesn't count IMHO) you would be mad not to buy this, okay Gothic 1 is a bit dated, but its still enjoyable. Like all Gothic games there is usually 3 ways of playing the game, Gothic 1 is Old Camp, New Camp or Sect you can join. Gothic 2 is Fire Mages, City Guard or the Mercenaries. So at least you can enjoy a different way of playing each time.

If you do buy this and you have an up to date system, you will have to edit an .ini file for both Gothic 1 and 2 and set the scaling of videos to 0 that way you can watch them (even if small). And rememer to grab the patches for Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods.

One of the best RPG series out there for a unbelievable price. Even though a few titles might be a little old. But it is always worth it to keep the classics in your collection.

This collection is baically a must-have for any fan of classical western single-character RPGs. The setting and the dark atmosphere set the gothic series apart from other games. The games feature exciting story which can pleasantly surprise you at times, large and quite open world, lots of quests and side tasks, and challenging combat. The interface can get in the way sometimes, but if you can look past this, you will get a great gaming experience.

A great collection. You get all the best Gothic games available out there, but also a worst Gothic game. Still, this package well worths the money just for Gothic 1,2, and 3. You will have a lot of hours of great open world exploration ahead.
