Avenge the loss of your loved ones by hunting down your sworn enemies in Nazi-occupied Paris. Fight, climb, and race your way through this unique world to destroy the lives of those that have taken everything from you. For the first time ever in a video game, enter the seedy world of a saboteur living in a stylized 1940s Paris, where the women are sexy, the missions are epic, and the revenge is satisfying.

Welcome to Nazi-occupied Paris, a unique open world where you are The Saboteur. Play as Sean Devlin, a street-tough Irish racing mechanic seeking personal redemption on a Nazi officer that has taken everything away from him. Now, it’s time for payback — with the help of the French Resistance, British intelligence, an arsenal of weaponry, and your own street smarts and brawn, you must exact revenge on those who aimed to destroy your life. Motivated by retribution and armed with tactics of sabotage, blow up zeppelins, derail trains, implode bridges, destroy armored tanks, and level enemy facilities in the name of vengeance, in the first open-world action game set in Nazi-occupied Europe.

Really enjoying this game so far. If you're an ATI Radeon GPU owner then you will have problems running this without the beta patch available on Pandemic's website. However, if the patch works or you've an Nvidia GPU, there's no reason not to buy this game for the PC. It's bags of fun, has very nice style and gameplay, and it's quite a unique idea too. It's genuinely unsettling exploring Nazi-occupied Paris - you're constantly reminded of this by the red banners enshrouding this black and white city. In games like Medal of Honor or Call of Duty there's nothing like the feeling of occupation you get with The Saboteur. At the moment The Saboteur is a medium scoring game, e.g. on Metacritic it's in the mid 70%. Take PC Gamer UK's score of 86 and you're nearer the mark.

I recently heard about this game and I immediately became curious to discover it. I also had to decide whether I would purchase it for the PC or the Xbox 360 and settled on the first. I downloaded it from this site and after a few issues with the download manager as it would not launch the installation-setup itself, I could finally play. Anxious to explore Paris during Nazi occupation in a rather imaginative than historical accurate sandbox, I found the game freezing every four or five seconds at the main menu already and was surprised by the very primitive looking graphics in the animated background that looked like they were taken out of the game world. I didn't think this was due to my computer as games like Empire TW, OFDR or Risen run perfectly on maxed out graphics. I still checked the recommended settings on gamersgate.com but found that The Saboteur had been taken off the site, so I accessed it via My Games. Apparently "Windows 7, Vista and XP users with ATI 3K, 4K and 5K series graphics cards may temporarily experience compatibility issues". Before I decided to buy the game I read a few reviews and I remember reading at some point that the PC version has a few bugs but that these are minor and probably due to the early release. I am now more convinced that the game was released too early on PC and that it was not worth it just to get it on the market before christmas. Therefore I recommend that if you are thinking about buying this game you either wait a few months or buy a console version. Thank you for your time.
