Pure 3D shooting action, the old style. Seriously good action, tough game if you are not used to them. There is really not much that can be said about this game.

Space Harrier II is one off the best old school arcade rail shooter ever.

But I recommend the arcade version or maybe the original cartridge for the SEGA Mega Drive.

This PC version is a very bad emulation.

But if you are a hard core fan and dont have an other way to enjoy this game ,then you can get it.I recommend this game to everyone of all ages, but beware its very difficult!

13 stages ,with intense boss fights, you will like it.

Space Harrier is a classic. Unfortunately, this is not the fantastic Space Harrier arcade game. This is the Genesis-exclusive sequel. The arcade game's claim to fame was blazing-fast sprite scaling that made it look and play unlike nearly anything else out there. Sadly, none of this comes through in the sequel, as the Genesis is woefully underpowered compared to the hardware powering the original and thus what was once a fast and frantic rail-shooter is now slow, ugly, and stiff to control. At least the emulation is excellent, but that only drives home the poor quality of the game.

Run around and shoot stuff.

Its the 2nd game and I remember playing the first in the stores. Feels similiar though Ive not gotten in deep enough to know if certain enemies are still around.

One thing I have noticed is that it is alot harder to play on a keyboard then a joystick or chair. (SH One had a version you sat in and rocked as you moved).

As part of the new Sega collection you can save as you go. That makes it something for short play times like a lunch break or stuck on a bus.

A sequel to Space Harrier, this game play just like the original, but some how fails to find the same allure as it's predecessor. The graphics are quite dated, but shouldn't detract from the fun of the game.

If you are looking for a classic "Rail" shooter, this is a good game to pick up.

This Sega Genesis game (emulated on PC) is somewhat of a clumsy port of the arcade game. Granted, the Genesis' hardware may not have been capable of a more authentic port, but what we're left with is a clunky shooter with a low framerate and sluggish controls. It's playable, which may have been an achievement for a a Genesis game with psuedo-3D visuals, but a PC port of the arcade original would have been much better.

Run and gun game, quite fun when i play this game in the first time. But graphic is too old, it just can keep me play several times. If you want try some classic shooter game 's taste so go for it.

A really good classic action on rails shooter. If you like games like star fox or any ship shmup you should give this a try. The emulation is really good. Feels just like the real deal. It also has nice added features like saving states of the game to continue later.

It's a great Rail shooter, there are 12 stages (plus the final stage), each with its own end boss, and some of them has a boss in the middle of the stage (you can select any stage to start the game but for get access to the final chapter you have to finish all of them). It's a great game and it was one of the first game for sega mega drive. I really like it.
