Silverfall: Earth Awakening review

This game is another Hack-slash RPG, however, this is not a squeal to Silverfall but an addon to the game, it adds more quests, fixes bugs, and fixes the UI. It's more of a big patch and expansion to the main game than a game on it's own. I would highly suggest to anyone who has silverfall to get this as it will make your life much easier. Although it's best to get both at the same time to see all the content. All and all, a bit pricey for a patch/xpack, pick it up on sale if you want to full silverfall experience.

This expansion pack add some new races to play, some new lands to explore, some new skill to throw around, and some new monsters to slay. It doesn't really change the formula, so it feels quite the same. The most important thing though is that it fix quite some problem from the original game. As a result, if you have the first game and actually like it, this expansion pack is just right for you.

Earth Awakening is like a patch for Silverfall. If you like Silverfall, this is more refined, but generally just more of the same. Silverfall wasn't very enjoyable to me and there are lots of better games of this type out there. It's buggy, composed of giant, empty areas full of monsters to kill for not much loot with quests that don't exist for any other reason than to go out there and hit more monsters. It can be fun at times, but unless you're really bored, I suggest going back and playing one of the better forebears of this game because they are much, much better than this.

This expansion to silverfall makes the game far better. With an improved UI and many fixes this turns Silverfall into a good game.Earth Awakening also allows you to control your char with the keyboard using wasd which was not in the original. It adds a crafting component as well although its not very deep it is nice to be able to have custom equipment that you can remake as levels progress. I would recommend this to anyone who likes Hack and slash RPGs. As a side note you can also play the original campaign with the improvements if you have the original silverfall installed.

Silverfall: Earth Awakening review

If you own silverfall or think about buying silverfall you MUST get earth awakening. It fixes many of the issues with the first game and makes it much more playable, also allows you to start playing the original silverfall (they install in the same folder) through the expansion with the updated UI and controls.

Graphics are good even though its old.

Story is interesting so far (I'm lvl 21).

Controls are not bad although not great either.

I would recommend this for the price.
