was not funny it had the story of a alien kids story trying to make it more adult. play

the first and second game instead avoid this game.

I really didn't like this game. The art design is awful beyond belief, with ugly creatures, ugly guns, ugly powerups. The level design is nonexistent. arena -> corridor -> arena -> corridor, ad infinitum. I know this is supposed to be an old school game, but the original Doom had kickass levels far more complex, fun and interesting, and you can't really get more old school than that (ok, Wolf 3D, but the point stands). The gameplay is mindnumbing and annoying. If you want Serious Sam, get First and Second Encouters and maybe the new HD version, but STAY AWAY from SS2.

Except you do need to patch the game or it won't launch on Windows Vista x64. Bought this on a whim as it was cheap and I actually thought Serious Sam (1) was fun & funny. It has some annoying enemies, it's really low-brow on occasion and the difficulty swings wildly, but taken together this is still one of the most non-serious first person shooter games. If you can enjoy a rocket launcher and enemies with bombs instead of heads, you can enjoy this.

Serious Sam was one of the funniest and craziest games I ever played. Serious Sam II is even worse :)

Totally packed of action, you will get one of the best entertainment a gamer could dream of.

Just a tip, nevertheless : don't patch this game with normal patches, as the game will ask for a CD thereafter... :'(
