About the Game

Fight in the theatre of war that changed the world forever. Battle alongside your compatriots on some of the most inhospitable environments of the Eastern Front in Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45. Red Orchestra places you in the most realistic WWII first-person multi-player combat to date on the PC, allowing the player to fight through some of the most intense combat of the war. You can play as infantry, using a wide range of infantry weapons, or crew one of the many armored combat vehicles available in the game, from half-tracks to the most famous German and Soviet heavy tanks. Engage the enemy with everything in your arsenal, from your bayonet at close quarters up to the massive 122mm cannon on the Soviet IS-2. And if that isn't enough, find an officer and a radio to call in thunderous artillery strikes to shake the enemy loose.

Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 review

Awesome game, the amount of action and pressure applied to the gamer makes this game quite intense. From stabbing people in trenches to getting your legs blown off, this game has it all. Amazing game.

Highly enjoyable, provided that you enjoy a slow paced, tactical game. You will be unlikely to find any running and gunning, instead, there will be a great deal of hiding behind corners and taking potshots at the enemy, as he does the same to you. However, this will be interspersed with the exhilaration, just to keep you constantly alert. Regrettably, the server population has decreased somewhat, but when I last played, there were still a few operating servers.

One of the bloodiest, toughest, most rewarding online battlefields ever created by man or beast. With three years of free content updates, a vast swathe of community maps, and a fantastic selection of modes, Red Orchestra 2 brings scale and thought to the act of murdering the footsoldiers of extremist 20th century political movements. It's a refreshingly paced game, rewarding tact and teamwork, but always allowing the mad bayonet charge. If you love WW2 shootery fun, get it.

Good game but you should not buy it. There are very few servers to play. Better option is to buy RO2.

But back to game. It is one of the best MP FPS' with nice SP campaign. For sure it is also most realistic shooter (just after ARMA).

An interesting and realistic WWII shooter. If you're into more complex FPS games than just 'point & shoot' this is one for you. But note that there are two problems with it: the AI isn't very good and there aren't many people on the servers (though this cam be remedied by playing with/against friends).

Awesome game!

Awesome MP game! I love World War II. games so I bought this game too. Great multiplayer experience, Red Orchestra is great alternative of CoD styled games. RO is a little bit hardcore and it isn't game for mainstream players.

Much better than the new one. Much more realistic and fun. The AI is pretty stupid but great game play. Highly recommend it for the price. It also comes with two free mods which make it hard to resist this great deal.

This game is amazing, it has beautiful graphics for a game that was made in 2006. And it's fairly optimized too, so you shouldn't have too much trouble running it. What i like the most about this game is its realism, because you have to be very careful in this game when moving around, almost any bullet that hit you will kill you instantly so using prone and cover in this game is something you must do if you want to survive.
