Requiem will tie up loose ends from previous installments and as Philip progresses he will encounter various characters from his past. Penumbra: Requiem delves deeper into the world of the Tuurngait infection and personalities from the previous two games, Overture and Black Plague. Long lost friends will return and aid Philip on his quest, but can they really be trusted?

In the bizarre world of Penumbra: Requiem players will experience another psychological thrill on a level unheard of before Penumbra: Black Plague. This time telling what is real and what is not will be even harder and not always trusting your senses will be essential in order to survive.

Penumbra Requiem includes many new levels to explore, old friends from previous games, highly interactive physics puzzles and a scary and disturbing atmosphere unprecedented in any other game.

Penumbra: Black Plague Gold Edition review

Really interesting, atmospheric horror series. Black plague is a great follow-up to Penumbra:Overture, and is actually much scarier. Requiem puts its focus totally on physics puzzles, without the horror elements of the previous games. Not really a must-play, but it´s still a good puzzle game.

The Black Plague Gold Edition is worth it if your planning to get the Penumbra series. You will end up saving more if you buy this then the two games separate. Packed with lots of scares and puzzles, this game will keep you entertained if your looking for this. However it is highly affected to your surroundings. So if your playing in a well lit room with some music, you will not get to experience the game as it was intended... To scare the crap out of you.

If you're one of those who don't get moved by the atmosphere and lyrical construction of the game, know this – it's without a doubt a very good sequel, and the standard it set will make it very hard for Requiem, the last episode, to live up to the Penumbra name.

For the price of only one cheap title, you will receive 2 good titles on your shelf: Black Plague and Requiem. You shouldn't miss it.

Go for it if you want to live a chilling environment in a puzzle game with a great story and a little bit scary.

Very scary game with a very good storyline. This gold edition includes both Black Plague and Requiem, the 2nd and 3rd games in the series. I would highly recommend starting with Overture though, as the sequels contain some pretty heavy spoilers. The graphics are still very nice to look at, although not as good, or scary, as Frictional's Amnesia. The physics engine is also very cool, with the characters able to move the mouse to push open doors and interact with the world. Great game series.

Awesome horror survival games form the makers Amnesia. For reference for those who have played Amnesia but not these, these are slightly less scary and atmospheric in some respects(ever so slightly that I would attribute it to unbeatable standard Amnesia set for me, I was still completely paralyses with fear as I was in Amnesia), which the developers no doubt fine tuned their talents at making you paranoid in these before their masterpiece Amnesia. Nevertheless, Penumbra is still amazing atmospheric and tense, the expansion being less so but good for rounding out the story and just getting more of the world. A defiant recommendation to survival horror/ atmospheric game fans and to anyone remotely interested, the graphics may put you off from what you can see but they defiantly do the job and didn't take away from the experience for me, love this game as much as Amnesia. An excellent game, more than that even, an unmissable experience.

Penumbra, a game not for the faint-hearted! Its such a great game. I purchased this game because they are the developers of Amnesia: the dark descent, and they have not left me disappointed. I recommend this game for anyone who likes horror games. Congratulations to the developers, they have done a great job here!
