A surprisingly enjoyable mix of Doom-like first person perspective and point-and-click gameplay. The puzzles often make very little sense, but the interesting atmosphere and unique gameplay still make the game enjoyable. However, be warned. The game isn't designed to run in Windows 7 so you will likely have problems. I wasn't able to get it running properly. But it is a good game, so if you have hardware that can run it (preferable XP or earlier, perhaps even Windows Vista), it's worth a look. Other sites might offer a playable version of the game in Windows 7.

Everything you know is wrong! This is the premise for this amazing, quirky off beat adventure. Donīt let yourself be distracted from the graphics. If anything, they ADD to the surreal story, characters and environment. Here are some REALLY innovative puzzles at work you wonīt find anywhere else.

For the tech side: You cannot run this game out of the box. Esp not on Windows 7 64 Bit. FunBox Mediaīs setup for the DOSBox-Emulation is totally screwed up. You absolutely best bet is to download the DOSBox Emulation - itīs FREE for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux - and set it up yourself.

Mac OS X users also can download the BOXer application that even does the setup for them.

If you want a great in-depth full review of Normality check the "Ancient Dos Games" Website.

The tech note is also true for most other FunBox Media Games, like SlipStream 5000, Buggy, etc. found here on GamersGate.

An interesting old cyberpunk adventure game from the good old DOS games. If you are a nostalgia gamer and like adventures, this is a game for you. Very athmospheric and tense.

On windows 7 this game is unplayable. The installer is missing several files required to install. I found a number of them on the internet but eventually came across one that I could not find. Hence I was unable to install this game.

Set in the dystopian future, where watching TV is mandatory, fat lazy people go on strikes, and the Sun in something people know about from fairy tales, Normality is a game about not being normal. Rebel, sabotage, evade total control and tracking. You might make this bizarre world a better place and have a few laughs along the way.

The gameplay is a fairly standard point and click adventure deal, standing out mostly due to the Doom-like engine used to model the virtual world. On the one hand, it does provide the immersion effect despite the "comic book + early 3D" graphics style. On the other hand, the engine isn't that well optimised, and searching locations for useful items walking and panning the view up and down (stretching the picture in the process) can get annoying, thanks to ye olde control scheme.
