NBA 2K10 review

Although this game has its problems, and none are awful, this game is the most authentic basketball game I've ever played! The player models are 100% perfect. The animations are very smooth. The "NBA Today" which lets you play actual matchups from that day in the real NBA! The biggest addition here is the My Player Mode where you could finally be your dream. Your dream to be drafted in the NBA!

The sound is incredible. Every arena sounds like their real life arena ! Great soundtrack and outstanding commentary !

It's the best basketball game ever made!

Before playing NBA 2k10 I bought several times the Basketball game made by EA. But to be honest: EA's game is nothing compared to the 2k-serie. The feeling while playing is completely different. You got the feeling that you could sit right in front of the TV while watching a NBA game. The player's movements, the reactions of the bench players and the coach making it a great feeling playing NBA 2k10!

NBA 2K10 review

If you love NBA basketball, there is a good chance that you'll like NBA 2k10. The game is a complex simulation at its core, but a good tutorial, a manageable difficulty and the arcade-oriented default settings makes it accessibile to everyone willing to spend some time to learn the controls. Sadly, while the the core game is really good (great graphics with terrific animations, good presentation, deep gameplay) bugs, mediocre AI, some broken mechanics and a general lack of polish sets it back. They are much more noticeable if you have played a previus version of NBA 2k, since a lot of them are legacy issues that are carried from one year to the next. A patch (already out for the console versions) should fix a lot of them, but the game, even in a half-broken state, is already enjoable, and at higher difficulty levels, plus more sim-oriented settings, it can be very rewarding (and frustrating, when you lose - and if you're not a very dedicated player, you'll lose a lot).
