This is a truly awesome game that i played a lot when i was a kid. There is so much to do in this game, there is even truck racing. I played it way back when in Russian, although some charm is lost in the translation, the core game is awesome. It might be dated graphically. But the unchanged trucking experience and core game play has not been made significantly better since this game. Highly recommended !

If you like trucks or hauling, if you like racing, if you like action and most importantly.. If you like CHEAP. this is a great game for you. Full of action, fun, and excitement. It's basicly a combination of 18 wheels of steel, fast racing games and a tycoon! Especialy for this price I love it. Deffinatly worth giving a try!

As a modern gamer, I found this game too outdated to enjoy on a daily basis. Everything in this game is too outdated to compare to the modern high end games we have today like "18 Wheels of Steel American Long Haul". This game is playable for a little while. But, I couldn't help but feel homesick for the modern graphics, sounds, and physics that I am accustomed to today's modern driving and racing games. This is a game that you buy, play and then ask "Where is the modern version of this game?". Bottom line, the concept and idea behind this game are the only things that aren't outdated in this game.

As a modern gamer I have a computer for modern games, and I have a computer for dated games. On my dated computer, I use Windows XP. On my modern computer, I have Windows 7. On my laptop, I have Windows Vista (we gamers have to be prepared). This game will only work on my dated computer with Windows XP as the description says. It worked briefly with Windows Vista (after major tweaks), but it kept closing after a few minutes. It didn't work at all with Windows 7. With Windows XP, I had no problems. Do not buy unless you have Windows XP or one of the other listed operating systems.

A really good game were you can either deside to start small driving vans or small trucks.. Later you have the possibility to advance as you deliver more and more loads of cargos. This game is all about racing driving from A - B and beating other drivers on the way.. You can force them off road, or maybe even find some of the hitten roads through mountains to save time.. But be aware there are hitten dangers such as police that will litterly do anything to stop you.. I like this old game.. so do not expect killer graphics. Instead there are many houres of game play driving... One thing that i would have been nice to see was simply the ability to drive realistic and deliver cargos without the game being a racing game..

My son likes driving games- especially the big rigs. He's played quite a few, and when I saw this come out, especially at $4.99, I figured I'd pick it up for him as a surprise. It was an exceptional purchase!

Though driving a truck for miles and miles is not my idea of a good game, he really enjoys it- and the managing your company aspect of it gives it legs and throws in a bit of educational time to boot. You start out with a rig and a bit of cash, and have to choose what cargo to pick up and the job to take. The objective, of course, is to make the trip on time, with no damage to the cargo. On the way, you can optimize your trip by picking up other loads on the way. You also have to decide whether to push it by speeding or stick to the speed limit, and when to stop to re-fuel. Unlike 18 wheels of steel, you don't manage other truckers, but you do get to get more upgrades to your current truck by stopping at garages.

The soundtrack isn't as good as those found in 18 wheels of steel, but is serviceable. The graphics are only adequate at best, but seeing as the game was actually released back in 2002 even though it just arrived on GG, that explains the lack of modern visuals. The weather in particular falls short, though it works well enough.

There are also a few other modes in playing to give the game legs, though in the end, the lack of managing other truckers does limit the game's life. But for 4.99, you can't beat the entertainment value as it's a solid game that provides entertainment for those that like truck driving sims.
