The game sets you to run many short levels fighting through rooms of enemies while collecting money for upgrades. The upgrade system is a bit strange, upgrade points are acquired based on your score, money gotten from pick ups are only used to unlock upgrade options. Money is acquired at a much faster pace than upgrade points that you have more money than you can use.

The level layout doesn't change much as you play, only adding more or harder enemies and a boss fight every 20 levees or so. Exploring hidden areas for money, lives, bombs, or keys is unrewarding for the time it takes.

The value of the game leans towards replaying levels at harder levels. fun to play once in a while

Great Twin stick shooter slightly reminiscent of Smash TV in game play. You move you 'avatar' around the maze-ish map destroying enemies collecting 'money' and power-ups as you search for the exit to the next floor. In between levels you are given a chance to enter a 'shop' and use your collected money to upgrade your weapons or special abilities and purchase drones or super bombs.

The game is a very fun if repetitive action game with very light RPG elements in its upgrade system. If you are a fan of throwback type games and twin stick shooters give this title a shot.

Twin-stick shooters are fun games. This one is no exception. With a retro-like aesthetic, Inferno+ delivers awesome twin-stick shooter gameplay with a perk system to give it an RPG feel. Choosing between five ships and plenty of upgrades, there is much replay value in this game given that on top of a New Game+ mode.

While it may seem repetitive with the enemies being nothing more than spheres most of the time, the chaos gets crazy with lots of enemies on the screen and plenty of strategy involved with how you eliminate targets and spend your upgrade points. The best part is that if you do not like an upgrade, you can take it off and apply your upgrades elsewhere. This helps a lot if a perk isn't to your liking or just want to test out a perk you unlocked but can't necessarily leave a point on.

Plenty of enemies, loads of chaos, and a wonderful cyber-retro setting with plenty of bloom effects and a very bouncing soundtrack, Inferno+ is well worth the $4.99 price tag and would still be great at double the price. If you are a fan of blowing stuff up or twin-stick shooters, you will love this. If you are looking for something more in-depth with a complex storyline, you won't find that here. Pure arcade fun.
