If you are looking for many new features and innovations to the gameplay of Heroes V, then this game isn't what you are looking for. New content essentially consists of a new dwarf faction that utilizes a new rune system to generate unique bonuses for dwarven units; the system is somewhat similar to the artificier ability of the wizard faction in Heroes V, in which resources are sacrificed to generate bonuses for wizard units. One other change to note is that the skill trees for the different factions have been added to and the paths toward the ultimate ability have been changed, which can be annoying if you invested time in figuring out the skill trees in Heroes V. However, this expansion continues the great storyline of Heroes V from where that game left off. Once again, extensive single-played campaigns await, which also suffer from monotonous and repetitive battles.

This exoansion pack adds more maps, abilities, features and a new faction. Overall more content to such a great game is only a good thing. The new features are really cool. The caravans are really handy. This is a must buy if you have Heores 5.
