This game is sure a lot of fun. It has a big variety of different scenarios you can play, and that makes it one of the best airplane combat games i've played.

But it is NOT a simulator, if you are looking for a modern plane simulator this is not the game for you, but if you just love to shoot down some enemy aircraft with advanced weapons and stuff, then this is just the game for you.

Well I guess this game 4 out of 5 because the graphic and the various of airplane are sure make you want to have this game. But the problem is with the game play and the effect which I think a bit disappointed. If we must to compare this game with other airplane battle like wings of prey this game have a lot of weaknesses. When shoot the airplane use the rocket or machinegun and got a hit, there seem nothing happened to the body of the airplane accept the health. Other than that, the multiplayer seem have a problem and very hard to connect with other player. Other than that, the mission I guess is more challenging than the previous HAWX.

I was looking after a arcade flying simulator with some action in it and not a realistic simulation so I brought this and until now, I have played roughly 3 hours of the game and so far I am having alot of fun.

If you are looking for a real flying simulator then dont buy this because this is an arcade flying simulator.

Yeah, well, I don't quite agree with #1 here. I've played a lot of aircraft-dogfight-arcade games, such as the Ace Combat series for PlayStation, and HAWX 1. As I've been playing HAWX 2 for about 10 levels now, I'll say that sure, it's no simulator - with 1000 buttons and 7 screens and all of that. It's an arcade game. But still, arcade gamers like me; action-gamers that like a bit diversity, would probably like this game. So I give it: 4 stars.

(People with DirectX 11 graphic cards really should enable tessellation in the options menu. Wish I had one! Only 10.1 for me. (It looks great with 10.1 too, but still...))

HAWX 2 is a bit different than the first one, as #2 is kind of "we're in deep trouble" right from the start. Even the 'recruit' difficulty was really challenging for an 'old fox' during some of the earliest missions.

Many different missions and unusual airborne vehicles to control (drones, gunships) makes this a high-tech, scenic, entertaining US Army - style war game. That said, if you can't stand American heroism, don't buy this - or other such US Army games, like HAWX 1 or Battlefield 3. But if you on the other hand like Top Gun the real US style, than this one's for you.. :-)

I think people who like aircrafts, arcade games and seeing something new, would find new challenges here.

I bought the hawx2 game since it looked like a well made and interesting simulator. Well i was wrong.

It really do not have much to do with a simulator, hawx is a kind of an arcade airplane game where you are rushed into action all the time there are more or less 30sec to every enemy or waypoint and you have to follow a story mode where you fight against unrealistic airplanes and weapons.

I could live with the above but unfortunatly what i cannot live with is simply the game controls its very clear that the game was developed for consols rather than pc since flying is very liniar and absolutly not smooth in any way, what i want to say the flying experince do not feel like you are flying an airplane but rather a box in the sky.

The graphics are quite good but you barly have time to enjoy it since you are all the time rushed into action.. The game actually support trackir but you head in the game turn very slow and you are very limited to looking left and right, up and down are simply not avaliable.

The hud of the game is arcade and even the cokpits of the airplanes are acade there are barly any instruments that actually work inside the cockpit.

Even when you fly the airplane and for exampel have to scout a small city then when you are near and flying on your head there are always anoying pre recored videos that tell you what you look at even if you cant even see the city.. its kind of dull.

Also at some point i had to intercept an airliner and was adviced to stay at 7 oclock but i was at 4 oclock when closing then surdenly the the video start playing..

Well to round it all up im very dissapointed by this game, its an arcade game not a simulator.

I dont really recommend it uncless you liked hawx1
