Darkspore review

It's kind of odd ... you know ... game had a great potential. I really liked it for the first three-four hours, played like a monster, killing off the fu**** as if they were nothing. But then it got just ... meh. It got boring. Regardless of how many "heroes" I'd unlock, they all looked the same by the end.

I don't know why, but this game would've been much better as F2P with a shop installed. It's almost impossible to find a party. You enter the lobby, there are like 15 people there. I wish they'd upgrade it a little bit, give it some more content but I guess that's out of the water ...

When I heard they were making an ARPG out of spore I was sceptical at how well it could be done. I however found my fears unfounded as Darkspore is an excellent game and will give you a lot of fun.

Darkspore is definitely a game that has been under-rated and in some ways overlooked. From the creators of Spore (the biggest let down of 2008) this diablo style action, hack and slash RPG is extremely fun and packed full of content. With 100 hero's to unlock each with different skills and abilities the campaign isn't the only thing going for it. There is still a very large community for the PvP part of the game. However they also left in the creation mechanics from Spore which is a big plus and you can fully customize what your hero's look like. Unfortunately there is less of the editing side and a small campaign even though there are different difficulty settings. Unsure try a demo and do give it a go a strong 4/5 stars from me.

Definitely not the best Diablo clone you'll ever play. The game has a few good ideas, but ultimately fails to live up to expectations.
