Joyous.

I don't know if you remember the original driver. I do. Well, that's not entirely true. All I can remember is frustration and hubcaps coming off on tight turns.

This game is not that game, nor any of the increasingly depressing sequels. This game is a joyous blitz through a modern San Francisco with clever writing, likable characters and a working, useful game play gimmick.

Added to this are surprisingly fun and creative online multiplayer and a fabulous and varied soundtrack. If you're a fan of driving or racing titles, you owe it to yourself to grab a copy.

Driver San Francisco Deluxe Edition review

The driving itself is great. There are a lot of cars to buy and drive in and a lot of missions and challenges.

The voice acting is very good, and overall the sound is great, immersing you better into the game.

The graphics are pretty solid, as good as any of the latest driving/racing games.

What makes this game so good though is the unique "Shift" ability which enables you to "posses" drivers of other cars to help you in your mission, or just toy around with random drivers and cars.

The only thing I didn't quite like is that the people walking around in the streets have super fast reflexes making you unable to run them over... Not that I would want to run them over on purpose but it just makes the game look less realistic.

But this fact doesn't affect the game so much and I am having a huge amount of fun playing it. Definitely the best driving game I've played.

This is another fantastic game from the Driver series. This game brings a wide range of cars, missions and multiplayer modes. The graphics and sounds are super and they bring a lot of realism when playing. There was a few things that I did not like such as the "Shift" feature and having to have a constant internet connection which can be annoying when your internet goes down.
