As the player you get to feel what it’s like behind the controls of a 240 meter long bucket wheel excavator. The player needs to control the machine and help out at the pit mine. Through a highly detailed control panel the super structure and bucket wheel are controlled.

In addition to operating the bucket wheel excavators you can also take control of bulldozers, track-type loaders, dumpers and excavators in order to perform the different tasks presented. Use the different machines to the best of your ability to help transport sand from the sandpit to the upload site. The detailed and lavish graphics and the machines make this simulator come to life and thanks to the realistic controls you will really feel like you are in the driver’s seat of these spectacular machines. Through the different camera modes you will have complete overview of your environments.

Digger simulator is a great game if you like driving: trucks, cars, big machines etc.

The game offers more than 100 hours of free gameplay and a lot of fun. It's totally worth the 20€, it's a small price to pay for fun.

Digger Simulator review

The Digger Simulator offers some entertainment for those interested in earthmoving. The limited number of machines that the player can actually toy with are sub-par at best. However, Kudos for modeling the Bucket Wheel Excavator in some detail, with many operating features which I would expect to see on the real-world machine. While the gravel pit machines are very rudimentary and include only a dozer, a track loader, and a tracked dump, it still offers some entertainment.

The interface is relatively easy to use, but only offers a few game situations for the player to explore.

There is no major reward for accomplishing the simplistic goals of the game, which include moving dirt from one place to another.

Again, not graphically rewarding to any extent, and in some instances the physics of the engine are very rough. I was getting the tracks of the dozer stuck on small ledges rather frequently, rather than rolling right over them. The soil physics are somewhat better, and to a certain extent offer "some" realism, but fall short of expectations.

Bottom line, this game was worth it to me just to play with the BWE and try to maximize earth removal in a set time period. As there is really nothing else out there for fans of heavy equipment, mining, earthmoving, or excavation, this is about the best thing going. I would reccomend finding and trying the demo out before going for the purchase, as it may not be to your liking.
