One of best moder RPG's.

Own's intresting story line and good character progression sytem and when this features are summed with good isometric/thrid person control sytem, then we have one excelent game.

Game have one intresting feature, what nearly any other rpg does not have. Orgins system, which means that different character have different starting story (Orgin story), this feture adds more orginality to your character and you can better feel where your character comes and why he/she wants save the world.

Dragon Age Orgins is dark fantasy game, so it have dark world where happy ending are rare and nearly always someone suffers. I like it because it was different from typical high fantasy games.

Dragon Age: Origins Deluxe Version features extra content, otherwise only available as seperate purchaes, like the Blood Armour pack( special item ingame), The Stone Prisoner (extra storyline, new locations), Wardens Keep pack (extra storyline, new locations).

The Good:

Dragon Age: Origins Deluxe Version is so full of content that you will be entralled for hours and days and weeks to come. There's no doubt that a lot of work has been put into developing the storyline and the individual characters, especially the voice acting dialouge. Im not sure exactly how many hours of voice acting there is, but it really is ALOT. You are gonna care alot for your party members.

Character creation:

its basically simple, choose your origin, your class and your race, and thats basically it. But these choices will have huge impact on how and where your story begins and how you will fare from there. possible start locations depending on your choice will be with the Dwarves, the Humans, the Mages or the Elves (well basically that's how it is, thought its way more complicated than tha,t I can reveal as much; but I dont wanna spoil it for ya :-)).

Your party:

You begin the game as the main character and, as the story unfolds, you can recruit more members to your party. You will take the role of the main character throughout the entire game. If u ever played the Might&Magic series, its kinda the same idea, where you have 4 party members at all times. You are actively controlling one of the party members, the other 3 will act on their own will, according to predefined strategies. These strategies can be changed and fine tuned by you at any time, and the character will act accordingly. You may also put all members "on hold", if you wanna prevent them from doing anything. You may also take control of any party member at any one given time. You can pause the game at any time and directly give orders to all members, then unpause and let the orders be carried out at once. It's up to your to decide what works best and what you like to do.

Character interaction:

Theres alot of interaction with the retinue of characters you decide to bring along. You can talk for hours with them, choosing from a long range of responses and conversation topics. The characters have their own opinion about you, so it will be a challenge to get you r party members to like you. Hpw much they like you can be improved by conversation and by you plot decisions. Some party members like certain actions more/less than other party members. Again, its your decision. This kind of interaction REALLY sucks you into the story and gets you very involved. Like the characters have opinions of you, you will develop opinions about them; and hey, whats not to like about that in a roleplaying game? :-)

The Bad:

Open endedness:

For all its open ended conversations dialogues and plot decisions, the actual game world is not really open ended. Dungeouns and

Excellent RPG. it has been a very long time since a game of this calibre was produced in the RPG genre. Very entertainging with a very rich story. In some cases a little to rich, if you want the full involvment you forever need to open your codex ever 2 minutes to read something. However its not essential either (thank goodness) i was a little surprised it was not a open world as seems to be the direction of games now. Being stuck to this is he way you need to go with very little distraction takes away from the game a little. Combat is fun, however like most RPG's starts to get boring after a while. For any bad points i could find though there is an overwhelming amount of good points. Would recommend to anyone who plays RPG's

Once in a while a game like this come along, an rpg that you will use to compare any other new rpg game that will be released some time in the future.

It has a very good character creator so we can customise our characters appearance.

It has nice graphics and good animations.

It has Interesting stories and Npc`s.

And the combat is fun and challenging.

Only thing that buggs me is that the archer classes have been ignored, it is there but they didnt do much work with it.

And its not a free roam world as i was hoping.

I must say the last rpg i enjoyed as much as this was Oblivion (Which i think Gamers gate should get ASAP so i can buy it again)

If you like True RPG`s that lets you really MAKE your own character and stories this is a must for you! :D

Great Game!! From the guys who made Baldur Gates, Nevewinter etc. so you can find a lot of similarity with those games, but with a refreshed looks.

Something I really like was the personality and character development, in fact I was always waiting for the comments from the characters during the adventures, you really have a good time listening to the in game conversations "Great! we have a dog in the party now... and Alistair is still the most stupid." and so on.

The game mechanics are very easy and if you have played any of this kind of games you will feel at home.

Also you can see the game from above view, wich is best to strategic play, is a great thing to view from character point of view, all the scenery is really really great.

Bottom line, is one of those games you would like to keep and keep playing for long time, and is one of the few I really dont feel I pay too much.

Dragon Age: Origins is the role playing game experience of the decade, offering a host of classic concepts wrapped up in new gameplay mechanics and putting together a game world which can serve as a setting for a series of RPGs in the coming years.

BioWare, the developers of the title and the first ones to anoint it as the "spiritual succession" to Baldur's Gate, have created a pretty classic story, where a great evil, known as the Blight, threatens the country of Ferelden and its neighbors. The players character must recruit a band of companions, including a With of the Wild, a Qunari, a Crow assassin, a bard turned to religion, a heart broken dwarf and a mage possessed by a benevolent spirit, in order to unite old allies and stop the Blight before it becomes too powerful.

The combat is tactical and players will often encounter areas which are rather punishing. Even on Normal difficulty gamers will need to make use of all the abilities of their characters and use flanking, spell combinations and combos in order to overcome enemies like the Revenants, the abdominations and the traitorous Loghain.

The real star of Dragon Age: Origins is the world which BioWare managed to create. There are a lot of familiar tropes of fantasy on display, but BioWare manages to twist most of them around into something new and interesting. Elves are oppressed and live in closed slums, dwarves are highly political ad treacherous, mages are seen as possible vessels for evil and watched over by Templars which are always poised to exterminate them. And these are just some examples related to how the world manages to immerse players and take them on a journey unlike any seen in role playing games in the last decade.
