Commandos 2 is a very decent sequel to Commandos, the game which started a new concept in RTS. This game has made some major improvements with respect to the previous, such as the better graphics, the better control of your squad, the increased amount of units that appear, and some really cool missions and storyline. You can play this game even if you didn't play Commandos, so if you are new to the series and the 1st game's graphics make you doubt, this one is a great way of getting started

You either like these Commando games or you don't. You either have the patience to play them or you can't. The Commando line of games requires a lot of patience, planning, and time. You don't just jump into one of these games for a few minutes. You have to allow yourself plenty of time to consider many different options, and plans of attack. You have to take them one step at a time if you truly want to enjoy them. These games definitely aren't for everybody. However, if you enjoy a good, strategic challenge, then you will most likely enjoy these games.

Commandos 2: Men of Courage picks right up where the others left off. Once again you control a varied group of soldiers to complete your missions. You choose whom you think will best get the job done, and then put your plan into action. This game doesn't really offer much more than the others in the series, so if you are looking for something new, you probably won't find it. If, though, you are simply looking to relive, and re-experience what you found in the other Commando games, then this game will give you lots of that.

So basically, if you like the Commando series you will like this game as well.

The Commandos series is one of the most strategic series of games available. This one offers a lot of new mechanics such as the ability to pick up enemies weapons, and unfortunately this feature simplify the game. I like the complexity in the first two games because you needed to get the right guy to the right place, now its just a matter of picking up a soldiers rifle with anyone and oneshot the npcs.

Commandos 2 is an interesting, thought provoking game, but the lack of narrative or instructional context hampers the experience. The game immediately drops you into missions with little briefing or explanation of your objective. Although the numerous tools and tricks of your soldiers are fun to use, the player must look up the instructions in the game's encyclopedia manually in order to learn their use.

Great, GREAT classic! Even though the maximum res is 1280x1024 and the game has dated graphics the gameplay hasn't aged a day... it's still superb and will have you thinking about every single move and what to do next for hours and hours...

The Commandoes series is one of the all time classic tactical games - the graphics might be dated, but the gameplay never grows old. Each character has a multitude of different abilities - much like the dirty dozen - from an irish renegade with a large knife, to a french spy from the resistance, and it's the players task to meld them together seamlessly over varied maps and different missions.

Well worth purchasing - 5 stars
