Civilization V: Cradle of Civilization: The Mediterranean

Rating: 4.1 (133 votes cast)

This product requires Sid Meier's Civilization V to play.

The period of Classical Antiquity saw the rise of city states from Phoenicia, Greece, and later Rome and Persia. Their struggles all centered on the great sea in the “Middle of the Earth," hence the name Mediterranean. This map covers the entire Mediterranean basin including the nearby peninsulas and coasts where these great empires grew and prospered.

The Cradle of Civilization map packs are Firaxis-designed maps of real-world locations. You can play random leaders in these settings, or choose leaders appropriate to the history of these areas. The maps can also be opened up in World Builder, where you can even create specific scenarios.

Mediterranean map for Civilization V.

This DLC adds a new Mediterranean map to Civilization V and lets you play around the Mediterranean Sea where ancient European unfolded. Great for games using authentic civilizations such as Greece and Rome.

one of the most difficult maps, in my opinion. Putting all the "real" civs (romans, babylon, byzantium, carthage, egypt, greece, persia) will create a very strong game, based on wars and naval supremacy. Obviuosly, play only the ancient times...

this is my preferite map.

Excellent. Hours of fun. The only thing I would change is the action associated with battle. You once were able to stack units however now each takes its own tile. Makes it more efficient I guess however just getting use too.
