Music: 9/10
The music of crysis 2 is quite excellent and it feels grandiose...all the way from the wailing sound in the menus to the piano tune that plays when you find a collectible.
Gameplay 10/10
The gameplay is fast-paced and nice, some fans of the first game didn't like the changes to the nanosuit...speedmode and strength have been revamped a bit, but I think it makes the game flow better and you really feel like a supersoldier, there is nothing cooler than soaring trough the air spraying your enemies with hot lead.
Furthermore, the detachable turrets and the cover system are brilliant additions. The Engine has clearly been upgraded quite a bit!
Graphics 10/10
In true crytek fashion, Crysis 2 offers nice, clean, yet somewhat colorful graphics, the dx11 pack with HD-textures really make the game look nice, especially the tessalation DirectX11 feature.
Physics 9/10
Much like the graphics, the physics featured in Crysis 2 are quite marvellous, occasionally some enemies can get stuck to walls, on a side note, the AI is overall nice and challenging.
Story 8.5/10
I did get a bit attached to the story, but the main complaint I have is that you don't really start "hating" the villain.
Multiplayer 8.75/10
I really haven't gotten to play that much of the multiplayer experience, but so far it seems quite nice. Things are not too out of balance at all, but as in all the previous review topics, I have one gripe...It feels a bit too much like Call of Duty, I, personally would have preferred to have a multiplayer experience closer to the first game.
Conclusion and Final score: 9.3/10
I came in to the game with quite low expectations, this might be because I was told that the game was severely different from the first one.(I really enjoyed the original Crysis) Having played it myself, however, I must tell you that I was positively surprised and I really feel like I've gotta hand it to Crytek, the engine is really an upgrade, despite my previous doubts.
In comparison to the first game, Crysis 2 offers a much more flowing experience, the engine is upgraded in almost all ways possible. The one complaint I do have tho' is that this one is a bit more linear due to having to be a bit console friendly, you still can choose your own ways to get through various situations and there are some different paths to take, so It isn't a game-killer in any way, shape or form.
(A modding tool is also available, and using it you can create your own open-world experiences)
Thank you for reading, keep in mind that this recommendation/review is purely subjective, but considering I enjoy RTSs and RPGs more than FPSs this was still a very good game and I recommend it!
