You are cursed and destined to spend the rest of eternity bonded to this creature of evil.

The Death-knight dislikes the soul forging as much as you do and together you embark on a great adventure. You both have a common goal… to undo the soul forging. I like old-school rpgs in general, but this was disapointing (perhaps it was not intended to be?). The graphics are just terrible. So bad its laughable and impossible to take this game seriously. I've played games 10+ years older that looked and feeled better.

Your quest is; What ?

to fight all that is evil !

I just WONT to say this;

Intro to the game could be better

and longer and WITH

a little more information !

The graphics in the game could

have been at least a little better

and there is no good music background !

And now you wonder

so what is good in the game;

For me only the story !

My recommendation is; if you

like games of this type Buy it !

Finally, I'm not sorry I bought it

because the new experience

is a new experience

and although sometimes they have a lot of mistakes

I love to play the games like this !

Your quest is; What ?

to buy this game !

This game is somewhat worth playing, but doesn't have the addictive standards such as Gothic or even Torchlight.

It's got its tedious method of searching for items.

But it's also a good thing to search the environment, making it an interesting feature to the game, where you enjoy the small details of the game.

The good:

- Great detail in the environment

- Fair graphics for its time

- Flexible skill system

The bad:

- Complex skill system

- Repetitive dungeons/levels

- Weak voices for NPCS

Unless you are a hardcore RPG fan and must play them all, then this is worth a play, otherwise, you will find this game to be not that fun to play after 30 minutes into the game.

I'd recommend getting the first game, Divine Divintiy, rather than this.

The graphics are basic, the wizard leveling system confusing, the voice acting (especially for the demon knight) is horrendous, but the biggest problem for me is how the control of the two characters is implmented. If you set up one character as an archer and the second as melee, the archer will just run around rather than shooting the enemy if you have to pull your melee character out of the action for a bit. It's all very well trying something new with a game, but the two character thing just doesn't work!

Like peterphonic, I just uninstalled this game after a few hours.

I thought i'd give this game a try, even though í've read some bad reviews. After playing, i'd have to agree with those reviews, the voice acting is indeed rather poorly done, and the gameplay itself feels a bit detached to my mind. The way the characters interact with the world seems clumsy and not very lifelike, and the way the combat sysem works, and the gaining of levels, is exceedingly basic.

Not a bad game, but not a very good one either.

What would you get if you combined the isometric dungeon crawl style of Diablo with the expansive worlds and character progressions of an Elder Scrolls game? This Divine game series. Yes, it lacks just a little bit in the way of polish so there are some rough spots, but overall fans of dungeon crawls, big maps to explore, and NPC questing should get their fill here and then some. Enjoy!

This is an excellent old-school RPG, and its entertainment value against todays offerings still holds strong. Beyond Divinity has nice graphics for its style and the controls are similar to other isometric games of its type, with the exception of your two-player control system, which is fairly easy to adapt to (especially if you're used to the odl Black Isle style of games.) Game has an excellent mix of story, combat and exploration. If you like the isometric style of RPG and haven't played this one yet, you definitely should! As a side note, I am running this on an Acer netbook and it works perfectly (after some resolution adjustments), so those of you with older systems or obsessed like I am with having a few games for on-the-go can load this one up on the netbook or cheap laptop.

I was looking for an old school RPG game (i am a fan of ultima 7). I read good reviews about this game so i decided to give it a try.

Well... I am disapointed. First, the voice acting is awfull, really too cheesy. The sounds and graphics are not great also. I also have a stupid bug in the inventory interface. I have a buckler and a nice body armor that i cannot equip with.

I don't know if it is because it was too long time ago i played ultima 7, but in my memories, that games (sounds, story and graphic) was much more immersive that Beyond Divinity

So anyway, after 2-3 hours playing, i just uninstalled the game.
