It is nice DLC for Arma2, thought at some times the distinctly British touch seems a bit overdone. Although, there really should have been the Challenger included!

This expansion pack is simply fantastic, not to mention incredibly realistic. The interaction between you and your soldiers is great. The implementation of our British friends (I'm American) military systems is also outstanding and offers a GREAT selection of new hardware to play with.

The missions are challenging, and even more fun than Operation Arrowhead. If you enjoyed Arma 2 OA at all, you owe it to yourself to give this a shot, especially at the sale price.

Excellent additional content for Operaiton arrowhead. The BAF models are all high quality, though the voice acting is a little stereotyped, the british army is not composed of public school boys. The new missions are worth having, though like the campaign it would have been nice to see even more.

The only complaint I do have is that some (very obvious) units are missing. There are no heavy armour units (challenger II) or fast jets. Adding a Typhoon or Tornado would've been the perfect way of rounding things off.

Arma 2 has always been a favourite but having the ability to also play from an British point of view is fantastic! Once again Bohemia have shown us why we like their work a lot!

If you own Arma 2 don't miss out on this.

I like this product. Its refreshing to play an FPS from the UK point of view, and I like how unlike the US forces, when you loose some one that's it.. However the campaign is a little short, which is a shame because in some ways just as your really getting into the game and the flow of things, you've completed the campaign.

Can't really complain for the price, but why on earth they decide it was Ok to use the same cream coloured holographic sights they used on the Scar that came with Operation Arrowhead, i have no idea. Would have also been nice to get a Challenger 2 tank or a Viking or other. But... at least i get to play as my own country for once! :-)

This is a good addition to Operation Arrowhead. In the case of the selection of small arms, I think it was a fantastic effort. But in regards to the vehicles I think adding the Challenger 2 MBT, Viking (which is the most commonly seen British vehicle in Afghanistan today, aswell as the WMIK Land Rover)and Tornado or Eurofighter jets would have been great. saying that they did do a bang up job with the Jackal which is very impressive.

The Campaign is pretty good. I liked the way that any soldiers in your squad were not replaced if they were killed so that there was a lot of pressure on keeping them alive and it really did affect your tactics when taking on the enemy. Particularly on the hardest setting. I didnt care much for the main character because I found that he annoyed me. I think its because his poems are useless.

All in all its worth your few pounds and I was happy to spend mine on it.

Arma 2 is still one of the best military simulators out there. Despite the bugs in the game, you learned to love the atmosphere, the scenery and the storyline. Arma 2 British Armed Forces is in the same vein. The scenery, the graphics are all top notch if you're running a high end machine. Don't bother if you're running low end specs, the frame rates will drive you mad. The story commences with some nice action, and before long you're off in a tank, blasting things to pieces. The game gets difficult early, so stay patient. You have to learn the command structures or you will, and so will your team, die very quickly.Frustrating at times, the game has that x factor "I'll just give it one more go" only than realising that you've played fo three hours. Worthwhile investment. You'll get some good hours gameplay from this.

This is a great 'Add-on' pack. Very reasonably priced, considering it includes an entire new faction complete with Choppers, Land vehicles, A great range of weapons, British voice overs, etc.

The campaign was very short but it makes up for this with the many SP and MP scenarios. all units come in either Desert or Woodland DPM camo.

Being English myself i felt like i literally HAD to buy this expansion, and i was definitely not dissapointed. 5/5

The new weapons and vehicles alone make this worth the purchase but along with that you get a fantastic single player and a host of new fun scenarios. The voice acting can be silly at times and the opening monolouge in each mission can be annoying but otherwise fantastic DLC and well worth the money.

If you enjoy ARMA II and OA than this is a no brainer.

I play primarily multiplayer and the new weapons and vehicles add a ton of fun to the game; The new missions and stuff are great as well.

Again, if you enjoy ARMA than this is highly recommended. 5/5

A nice little expansion. The new rifles are nice looking(I don't really care for their characteristics), and there's a mini-campaign as well as single missions. The campaign is short and brutally hard and honestly not that great(except for the last mission, that was awesome), but the single missions were fantastic. I especially enjoyed mission where you command a task force while providing sniper cover). Good fun for the price tag.

Great Add-on because

1. it contains interesting new weapons und vehicles,

2. gameplay changes because of the "british point of view"

3. some others fixes improve the game!

By Signaller posted 7th Dec 2010

A great expansion for one of the most underated games around. The most welcomed edititions are the weapons, the british 5.56 rifle (L85A2) series are represented very faithfully (especially the SUSAT sights) & the AS50 sniper rifle is the best in the game!

The helicopters are equally as good, the Lynx with its speed & armnaments, the Merlin with its large cargo capacity.

All in all a bargain at £7.99

I have to agree with the people reviews above.

You get alot of value in this Addon/mod.

Also the campaign is really good and big, and you really feel that you are part of something larger than just your own little world in the war.

I highly recommend buying BAF ( british forces )

its the best "buying" addon so far..

If you read this and ask your self if you should buy BAF or the brand new PMC ( private military company ) the the answer is BAF.

All the bad DLC from other games can take a look at this one, right here.

This isnt just DLC, it is a mini-expansion. And that for a totally reasonable price, looking at what you are given: a new army in 3 different camo-schemes, totally new weapons, a small campaign, several other scenarios, and even completely new voice-acting with British accents for authenticity.

A big bonus is that players who do not buy this DLC are not left out in the cold, as every other player gets the lite-version of the BAF DLC, meaning they too can play. It just doesnt look that good, when you havent bought it.

Arma 2 British Forces is a great expansion to ArmA 2. It includes a good story that'll leave you playing for an additional 5 hours. It also contains additional weapons, but even more interesting, full multiplayer compatibillity with Arrowhead itself. It also contains a few nice SP stand-alone missions.

Due to the price/product ratio, this expansion is a must buy for all arrowhead owners

Well worth the money, heaps of new weapons, vehicles and a cool new map.

Great addon, lots of new weapons/vehicles all done to the usual high standards. Sounds are excellent on the new weapons too which really helps immerse you in the game.

Lots of new missions/scenarios which vary from sniping to taking out armoured patrols.

Very good fun and a must buy for anyone who owns ArmA 2.

I have been playing Arma 2 british forces so far for about 4 hours and so far i am very impressed with the amount of content for the price.

It adds variety interesting missions and far superior voice acting with a mixture of accents. The graphics and textures are fantastic as i have come to expect from BIA.

And the extra units and weapons add alot for mission editors out there to play with.

would recommend to anyone who enjoys mil sims. 5/5
