Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventures EU review

By IoannisBeast1981 posted 15th December 2011

To begin, i would like to make it clear from the start, i ve never been a real fan of MMORPG games(even multiplayer games in general). i tried, i really really tried to play WOW at first. . . i grew up playing warcraft, but WOW was a traumatic experience. Back to Age of Conan now... i ve been a huge fan of the Barbarian for many many years, and i was really surprised in the best way when this game was published. buuut, i was cautious, being an MMO after all. i thought i d give it a try, and, believe me i now have 6 characters! the game is amazing! graphics, ambience, music, they are amazing! the game enchanted me with its beauty. i was expecting more from the story line, but the expansions silenced my doubts. whoever wants to play a challenging MMOrpg with amazing graphics and a vast variety of items, places to visit, and monsters to kill, even if you re not Conan's fan, you should give it a try.

This game I really had high hopes for. Some friends om mine have been playing it for some time and urged me to try it. They specially empesize the graphics of the game.

I have played some games of this kind before (WOW, Guild Wars) and was expecting much of the same of Conan.

The game is really very much the same as WOW and Guild Wars, I think. The only area I can see Conan as a better game is on the graphics. I love the looks of the game, but the rest is not exactly revolutionary, in terms of online multiplayer games.

So, was it worth the money?

Depends on what you are looking for and what you expect. If you love WOW and Guild Wars, but just want to try another game in the same genre, then it might be it.

For me it was a OK game, I would rate it 6/10.
