Rise from your grave as Zeus, the legendary Greek God, brings you back to life with those famous words. You will set forth on a mission to rescue his daughter, Athena, from the wicked God of the Underworld, Neff. To survive the gauntlet of mythological foes, you must hunt down the three headed wolves that inhabit each stage and collect the Spirit Balls that they release. Spirit Balls increase your strength and allow you to transform into a variety of forms including a Werewolf, Weredragon, Werebear, Weretiger and the ultimate form of Golden Werewolf. Each creature possesses powerful attacks that are required to bring an end to the evil Neff.

I didn't really get into this game, not even as a child (maybe it was a bit to harsh on children at the time). I think that Golden Axe is allot better, but as you may see the price is not an issue, so, for any classic games love, I recommend to give this a try, maybe you will like it more than I did/do.

A surprisingly good game for an oldie.

The gameplay is challenging and addictive.

There are better games in this genre, but the price is not much of an obstacle.

Recommended for the retro gamers.

I give this one a 3/5. The game is the old arcade game. Its not the best one Sega put out. I enjoy Golden Axe alot more. Its a side scroll smash stuff game. It works. Its a nice change of pace. As with the other games you can save part way along. Thats nice for those who want to just take a short break by playing.

Very cute, although hard game where you start fighting undead creatures as a human that slowly turns into a werewolf. Namely, by collecting power-ups your look changes and your powers increase. Numerous enemies that should not be underestimated and cool retro style that tries, and successes in reminding you how great it is to be kid again. Please note that, regarding resolution, the game has been optimized and you can play it even on widescreen resolutions such as 1680x1050. Have fun!

A classic, a great game for its time. The gameplay is limited and levels are linears, but what can you ask for an arcade game of 1988?

I totally recommend it to nostalgic like me.

Very good, even though awesomely challenging game. It's a beat 'em up of sorts, where you are up to save Athena on Zeus' command.

The graphics are very good, even though the game is considerably old, and the music is awesome and catchy. The save states system and launching menu (which is shared among all the SEGA Genesis Classics games) is fast to navigate and easy to understand, and has enough options too. The graphical quality is good enough, and the additional filters help to compensate that old feel too.

Overall, a must-purchase for Arcade lovers, simply one of the best Arcade-style games I've ever played.
