The whole Kidd family is upset! Alex’s father, King Thor, is missing, and they suspect he has been kidnapped by Ashra, the mean ruler of the planet Paperock.

Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle review

By Framer posted 22nd Oct 2010

A very light-hearted retro game which has been also optimized for widescreen resolutions. Basically, you are this kid in this enchanted castle... :) You run and jump from one place to another destroying cars and obstacles and collecting coins in the process. Seems easy enough and has numerous occasions where it tests not only your reflexes but also your knowledge in logical puzzles. So, if you're up for some fun that will try and get you closer to the past, check this one out.

A great game when it originally came out now it's just an ok game. While the gameplay itself is quite fun, it's incredibly outdated. The basic gameplay consists of Alex Kidd running around kicking enemies and blocks to get gold. The biggest problem with this game is the stiff controls. Alot of times you can punch an enemy just a second too early and miss resulting in your death. Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle is a fun game and for the price I think the controls can be overlooked.
